Microsoft will begin rolling out its first MAJOR update for Windows 10 today.
The update (codenamed: Fall update) brings a slew of noticeable features, improvements as well as bug fixes and overall performance improvements to the OS that is now installed on more than 110million PCs.
Some noticeable features that are added are:
The Edge browser now has a nice tab preview view, where you can now use your mouse to hover on a tab in the browser and see a quick tab view of the webpage.
The OS has been improved as it now loads up 30% faster than Windows 7. So if you are on Windows 7, now is a good time to upgrade.
Also, Cortana got some improvements and added features like being able to now send SMS text messages from cortana (a Windows Phone runnning Windows 10 Mobile is required for this to work). Another feature is that Cortana can now recognize notes your scribble using a stylus pen.
That's just to mention a few.
But a huge chunk of the update's added features are related to enterprise, which as you know is Microsoft's bread and butter. New enterprise features like a Microsoft app store for Businesses, Windows hello is now compatible with the enterprise and a whole lot more.
You can check out the full list of changes/new features/improvements from Microsoft Blog.
