Video shows cancelled Nokia Lumia 1030 (codename: McLaren) and its 3D touch demo'ed

A video has surfaced courtesy of Baidu, Chinese website and it shows the cancelled Nokia Lumia 1030 (aka Mclaren device) and its 3D touch in action.

If you remember, Microsoft/Nokia were supposed to launch this revolutionary device late last year. It was meant to be the successor to the Nokia Lumia 1020, it was supposed to come with a 50MP camera and a new innovative, never before seen 3D touch mode of input. What this meant was that you could use the device, interact with the screen without actually touching the screen.

With this video, we finally see the cancelled McLaren device and the 3D touch live for the first time. Check it out...

I don't know the technology behind how Microsoft/Nokia were able to pull this off. It is pretty impressive though I cannot fanthom a practical use for this mode of inpiut everyday.
Nevertheless, they (Microsoft) should make sure this doesn't fall into the hands of Google or Apple.
