Recently, there has been a lot of rumors about Microsoft showcasing its new range of premium Lumia devices running Windows 10 Mobile at this year's IFA event in Berlin on Sept 4th.
The implication of that would be that Windows 10 Mobile OS would be ready before then and that meant that it had less than 2 months from now to be complete.
If you are using or have used the current Build 10166 for Windows Mobile, you can guess that Microsoft would have to amp up their development if they want to reach that goal of Sept 4th.
So naturally, I was a bit skeptical about that date as I mentioned in my previous posts about how it would be odd (considering the significance of Windows 10 Mobile) for Microsoft to launch its new line of Lumia's at a 3rd party event.
Today, Canadian mobile tech site: MobileBurn is citing inside sources at Microsoft's UK Ad team that says that new Lumia devices will not be announced at the IFA event on Sept. 4th but rather Microsoft will launch Windows 10 Mobile on Sept 24th along with 5 new Lumia products (with the Lumia 940 and 940XL included) at an event it will organize in the US (hopefully, San Francisco :)
So I guess we have a new date to look forward to. This is much more plausible than the Sept. 4th date.
While, this has not been confirmed, it is important to take this and any unofficial news with a pinch of salt.
