The specs for a couple of high-end Lumia Phones running Windows 10 have be outed according to mobile site; UnleashThePhones.com.
We have heard rumors that 2 high-end Lumia phones will be launched later this year, rumors stated that one will be a smartphone and the other a phablet (more than 5.5inch display size), they have been rumored at the Lumia 940 and 940XL, but we never got detailed specs on these unconfirmed devices.
Well today, UnleashThePhones.com is stating that according to their sources, Microsoft will launch 2 very high end Lumia Phones, and they are codenamed Lumia TalkMan and Lumia CityMan and here are the rumoured specs...
Those are some interesting specs, the Octa and Hexa core CPUs (which I presume will be made by SnapDragon) are as expected, they are 64-bit which was also expected. The 3GB RAM would be standard by the time these phones are released so that's fair enough.
While the phones will come with a qHD display, many mimght worry about battery life as these high res. displays zap battery life but not to worry, Microsoft made sure to amp up the battery from the usual 2000mAh+ batteries found in flagship Lumias to 3000mAh+ battery, so that's good news.
Then, we are now looking as MicroSD slot support for these flagships, last and only flagship Lumia phone with a MicroSD slot was the Lumia 1520, good to see change coming.
Finally, looking at the imaging, a 20MP camera is good, even though some might clamour for a 41MP, the truth is that it's the technology behind the lens that matter, and if Nokia's track record is anything to go by then be rest assured that you will not be disappointed even if they went with a 10MP camera.
The front facing camera on the other hand has a whopping 5MP camera, which I assume will be wide angle lens
UnleashedthePhones correctly revealed the specs for the Legend Lumia 1020 a couple of years ago, so while they do not often release breaking news, when they do, they are usually on the mark, so I think this is very true unless Microsoft hasn't began manufacturing and change the specs last minute.
Also, according to their source, the Lumia TalkMan (aka Lumia 940) will be slimmer, thinner that the Lumia 930 which is really good news.
But it looks like these devices are already in production as the Lumia CityMan (aka RM-1085) was spotted on Ad-Duplex data last month, as a phone with model number RM1085 with a 5.7inch display was spotted there.
In other news, it looks like we wouldn't be getting a Lumia 1020 successor anytime this year atleast. Making imaging powerhouses like the Lumia 1020 and Nokia 808 PureView has always been Nokia's thing and it doesn't look like Microsoft will be going down that road as we already saw the Lumia McLaren get cancelled last year.
So how do you feel about these specs? Can't wait to get your hands on them? Or you wish they could amp it higher even more.
