Eventhough the Lumia 640 and 640XL which were announce a month ago haven't yet reached all markets, Microsoft has released yet another Lumia phone.
The Dual-SIM Lumia 540, was announced today to add to the foray of low budget Lumia devices Microsoft has been released since they stopped using the Nokia brand on Lumia's.
I guess this video explains why they making low end phones?
As you know, since last year when Microsoft lost the right to use the Nokia brand on upcoming Lumia devices, they have piut out nothing but low budget Microsoft Lumia branded phones. We are yet to get a Microsoft branded Lumia high end device.
The Lumia 540 is a Dual SIM phone and has not single SIM variant, meaning it will be available in Markets where Dual SIM phones are readily used.
The Lumia 540 does have some impressive specs, check them out...

I am rather impressed by the display, it's a 5-inch HD display with 1280x720 resolution and 294ppi. The downer or course is the less than powerful CPU, a SnapDragon 200 processor.
It's got nice imaging specs, an 8MP camera and 5MP front facing.
All these and more for just $150, it is not bad at all.
