Windows Phone 10, Windows 10 Phone, Windows 10 for Phone, Windows Mobile 10, Windows 10 for Mobile or even Windows fof Phone 10... My point is whatever they choose to call it at the end, the fact remains that Microsoft is going to unveil the next chapter/next generation of its Windows Phone OS.
There has been persistent rumors from Multiple sources that Microsoft will be showing off its latest iteration of Windows Phone on Jan. 21st at an invite-only Press event in Redmond on Jan. 21st. The event will be live streamed, so stay tuned for the live stream link in a couple of weeks so you don't miss any of the action.
The latest source to confirm the Windows Phone 10 reveal is WP enthusiast, Tom Warren from TheVerge, in a tweet...
Tom tweets that we should expect a good look at Windows 10 for phones in a couple of weeks.
I hope this means the OS is ready and hopefully we could see a preview version available for us to download? Fingers crossed.
A lot of new features have been rumored to come with the OS, including a new start-screen with landscape mode support, a customisable background image that spans across the start-screen and the app list (personally I hope it expands to messaging, email apps...), better multitask with snap to view where you can snap apps side by side, flyout live tiles and more.
I really hope this will be a better launch with even better improvements and new features than when Windows Phone 8 was launched.
What feature are you most looking forward to in Windows Phone 10?
