Skype for Windows Phone just got a noticeable update.
The update addresses the scaling of the app. The overall UI and fonts have been scaled to fit more into your screen.
Here is a comparison of how it looked before and after the update

Though there are more pressing issues for the Skype Team for Windows Phone to work on, we will take this update for now.
Skype, as a Microsoft owned app is lacking behind when compared to its Android or iOS versions.
You cannot start group chats (I haven't seen how to do this yet)
You cannot listen to voicemails (this feature is still not supported)
You don't have access to your phone book via the dialer to make calls directly from the app either.
And one more thing, the app is still not as stable as you would hope.
I hope they (Skype Dev. team for Windows Phone) are busy working on a Full featured Skype app for Windows 10 for phones. That's the only logical excuse they have for giving us a very sub-par app.
