Microsoft just announced via its official blog that they will be hosting an event in Redmond, WA on January 21st to unveil the next chapter of Windows 10.
As you know, there has been a lot of rumors about Microsoft showing off Windows 10 for phones sometime in late January.
Here are excerpts from the event invite:
"On Wednesday, January 21 – we will be holding an event here on Microsoft’s Redmond campus where we will talk about the next chapter of Windows 10. You’ll hear directly from senior leaders from the Operating Systems Group including Terry Myerson, Joe Belfiore and Phil Spencer who will talk about the Windows 10 consumer experience –continuing the story we began in September. You’ll also hear from our CEO Satya Nadella as well. We’re going to live webcast the event so mark your calendars! As we get closer to the event in January, watch for another blog post from me on where to tune-in and watch the live webcast. As you can imagine, we’re pretty stoked to show you what’s next for Windows 10!"
Microsoft is expected to show off its Windows 10 platform that will be used for both tablets and phones, similar to what Android and IOS have on both their phones and tablets.
We will also get more info on what a developer preview will go live, hopefully they will hit us with immediate availability of the developer preview for windows 10 phones like they did when they announce windows 10 desktop last month.
Are you excited? January 21st can't come soon enough
