This image leaked yesterday of a Nokia branded Windows 8 tablet.
It is rumored specs are a 10.1-inch 1080P display, 5-point multi-touch, 2.15GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, 32 GB of built-in storage, micro HDMI, USB 3.0. it is also rumored to come in cyan.
Nokia is expected to announce a tablet next month, and it will be released around the same time the next Windows major update also becomes available (Windows 8.1).
The image above shows its a Verizon tablet, with the Verizon logo and their 4G LTE logo also. So it will run on Verizon's blazing fast LTE speeds.
The big let down here is the fact that the tablet will be RT version of Windows 8, meaning it's not full Windows and there fore will NOT run simple everyday .exe applications and seeing as the Windows store is far from being competitive against Android or iPad stores, I don't see how Nokia can save Microsoft in this section of the market, they are already doing a lot for their windows phone.
Honestly, Nokia has no business releasing a tablet, let alone a Windows RT tablet this year, they should wait until Microsoft fully merges its Windows Phone and Windows Operating System stores together, where developers can make an app that runs on both the OS and on the your Windows Phone, just like Android and Apple have done.
The only way this tablet could be a success (which I highly doubt is if it is way cheaper than the ridiculously expensive Surface RT, which currently goes for $350 excl. taxes).
