I have never been a fan of Microsoft's Zune software, maybe it's because of the way it looked, so clustered...maybe.
A new app conveniently called Windows Phone is set to replace the Zune application and while it is available for just windows phone 8 devices (I don't believe windows phone 7.8 devices are supported yet), it is still a work in progress, a lot of work still needs to be done, little wonder why updates keep rolling out constantly.
One feature that caught my eye (yes, just one eye not both of them) is this neat feature which I would like to call the chameleon effect (yes, I just came up with that). So what is the Chameleon effect... When you have your Lumia device connected to the Windows Phone App, its theme is similar to your phone's theme, same background (dark or light) and also the same accent color but what's interesting is that if you change your background or accent color on your phone while connected to the application, it changes in "almost" realtime. I have times when it changes almost immediately and there are times when it takes up 15-20secs
Check it out...
The Windows Phone App is far from complete, (for instance, you can't install apps from within the Application), but with a cool feature like this and possibly more to come, then I am sorry Zune, you will not be missed
