In light of several misleading stories regarding a recent injunction obtained by Nokia against STM (a supplier of components to HTC in The Netherlands) HTC looks to clarify the following points:
So here's what really happened, just in case the above statement doesn't make sense.
Nokia struck a deal with microchip company STM to have this dual-membrane microphone supplied solely to Nokia for a limited period.
STM went around and supplied it to HTC for the HTC One phone (without HTC knowing about the agreement Nokia had with STM)
Nokia sues STM and tries to have HTC One phones that have the microphone component in them pulled from the market.
While I don't know the status of Nokia's injunction against STM, HTC is free to sell its HTC One phone that already have the component until their stock is exhausted,
