So we finally get to see what the upcoming Verizon variant of the Lumia 920 (aka Nokia Laser, aka Lumia 928) will look like.
Rumor has it that this device is set to be released this month and right on queue @evleaks (notorious for releasing photos of unannounced devices a few days before they are announced) has leaked press shots of the device.
It looks like a over-sized Lumia 720 in my opinion, but with impressive features. what's interested is that just like the pioneer PureView phone, the Nokia 808, this Lumia comes with both LED and Xenon flash, so its not far from the imagination to wonder how good/innovative the camera will be.
This makes this Lumia 928 the first Lumia with Xenon flash.
It shares the same 4.5” LCD display, 1.5GHz dual core CPU. Current memory allocation is unknown though it is thought to be 32GB just like the Lumia 920, though it is said to have a slightly thinner frame
This isn't the Nokia Catwalk which has been rumored to be a thinner, aluminum uni-body device but I hope Verizon customers will be happy this is coming to their carrier, I have a few Verizon faithful that were quite distraught when they heard that they weren't getting the Lumia 920. This will do nicely.
I expect this device to be announced sometime next week.
This is real good news, it's only a matter of time before Nokia gets a strong foothold in the US market once again.
