Symbiapocalypse now

I think we are now witnessing the last days of Symbian.

I just read this article on DailyMobile by Kevin Everett which suggests that Nokia has halted development for the Symbian^3 OS.

According to the article, Nokia was responded to a developer who was giving them suggestions on how to improve Nokia Drive on Symbian. Here is the response from Nokia...

So it looks like we are in the end of days for Symbian? or maybe the team is just taking a break from the awesome Symbian Belle FP2 update that just got pushed out.

Let's hope it's the latter. If not, it looks like "Apocalypse Now" for Symbian!

[Update] Nokia ended the beta version of Nokia City Lens on Symbian, I think that is more sign Symbian is coming to an end, development-wise.
Nokia has made it clear that Windows Phone is what they will be focusing on henceforth, so all their Symbian dev team will slowing to moved to WP platform to help with development there.
Sorry Symbian fans!
