In the last few days, the Lumia 900 have been out of stock from At&t stores and back ordered on Amazon's website, this was attributed to the fact that these devices were recalled so they could be updated with the patch that fixes the data connectivity issue that plagued the device on its first week of launch.
However, Nokia Spokesperson, Karen Lachtansk said that was not the case, as the Software fix was pushed out and users of the device have opted to just install the update rather than swapping their devices for a different one, so the unavailability of the Lumia 900 was due to high demand.
She also says that Nokia are speeding up production to keep up with demand.
Karen told AllThingsD, “The inventory situation is primarily a function of demand because we are seeing that most customers are opting to keep their units and simply update via Zune,... So the impact of customer swaps is insignificant. We are producing more devices to satisfy demand as quickly as possible.”
High Demand for the Lumia 900 should be attributed to the High Quality of the Device and good marketing push by At&t, Microsoft and Nokia
Nokia Lumia 900 will be available in white this weekend, let's hope Nokia can keep up with demand on that one too!
Gizmodo is also reporting that ALL At&t Stores in the US are completely sold out of lumia 900s, Nokia better speed up production for the device. you can read that story HERE
