Today, Nokia officially announced the Lumia 800c and 610c for the Chinese market.
though many thought it would be the 800c and 719 that would debut today, that wasn't the case.
Nokia announced that the Lumia 800c and Lumia 610c (CDMA versions of the Lumia 800 and 610) would hit Chinese stores via leading Chinese wireless provider "China Telecom in April.
The Lumia 800c will go for 3599RMB (or $571) SIM free, while no pricing was confirmed for the 610c, it is said to become available sometime during the Q2 2012.
They’ll come with the usual Nokia Music, Nokia Drive and Nokia Maps apps, exclusive to the Finnish company’s Windows Phones.
The first 100,000 people to get a Lumia device will be eligible to download "Fruit Ninja" and "Plants vs. Zombies" from the Nokia Collection section of the Marketplace and they will also get free access to FHM, Harper’s Bazaar and Esquire, too.
Stephen Elop, nokia CEO said at the presentation:
“We’re excited to introduce our first Lumia the Nokia 800C, to this important market with our exclusive launch partner, China Telecom. Working closely together, we’ve created a compelling, locally relevant experience on the Nokia 800C especially tailored for people in China."
so the question now is, whatever happened to that Lumia 719??
